KNEF Community Farm in Schomberg
As the world continues to grapple with issues of food security and sustainability, there has been an increasing emphasis on the importance of locally grown and sourced food.
At our farm, we have taken this message to heart, and have made it our mission to give back to the community by growing and sharing fresh, healthy food. We believe that everyone should have access to nutritious food, and our efforts reflect this commitment.
Our farm has recently begun growing garlic, with 3000 clones currently in the ground. We see this as an opportunity to expand our offerings and provide a new crop that can be enjoyed by the local community.
Growing food is only one part of our mission. We are also developing a program for the summertime that invites people to come and grow their own food. This initiative has been in place for the past two years, and we have been thrilled with the response. It has been heartening to see people take an interest in where their food comes from, and we believe that the more people learn about food production, the more they will appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into it.
At our farm, we are also committed to giving back to the community through food donations.
In addition to garlic, we grow 60 acres of corn and 2 acres of sweet corn, which we will donate to our local food bank. We are proud to be able to share our bounty with those in need, and we hope that our efforts will inspire others to do the same.
Overall, our farm is driven by a passion for community, sustainability, and healthy living. We believe that these values are critical in today's world, and we are proud to be doing our part to make a difference. As we look to the future, we are excited about the possibilities and the opportunities to continue growing, learning, and giving back.
