About KNEF CANADA
Our mission is to improve the Canadian economy and the lives of new immigrants to Canada through food security, immigration advice and assistance, integration through educational activities including learning language, job skills training and financial literacy education. We aim to grow locally in a sustainable and ethical way to support the Canadian economy.
Who we are
We are a not-for-profit farm that aims to provide affordable vegetables to Canadians.
We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food, and we want to make that possible for families who cannot afford it.
Why we do it
An ambitious goal, but we believe it is achievable if everyone pitches in and works together.
The idea for this project came when we saw how many Canadians are struggling with food insecurity and hunger. We want to help them by providing them with affordable vegetables, which will allow them to feed their families, as well as help them build healthy lifestyles.
How we do it
We want this community to be built on two foundations:
Enabling Canadian farmers and farmland to connect with local and offshore market.
Gathering input from communities, government officials, other groups as we develop policies that can guide future changes in farming practices.
